Shenshu is the founder and Principal at TAES Architects. Shenshu uses his extensive knowledge and experience to provide comprehensive architectural services and development consulting to clients. These services include investigating the planning regulations required for real estate development, coordination with municipal planning and building departments, development strategy study, architectural design and construction administration.

After graduating from his Master’s program, Shenshu taught at the Hefei University of Technology for 4 years before relocating to Germany where he pursued his PhD and practiced at various firms, focusing on energy-efficient building design for 7 years. He continued his professional career in Canada, working for Zeidler Partnership Architects. During his 6 years there, he worked on many projects, such as Queen’s Quay Terminal Renovation, Eaton Centre Addition, and Four Seasons Resort Nevis. After joining Diamond and Schmitt Architects in 2006 as a LEED-specialist, he managed dozens of LEED Gold projects. His research at Diamond and Schmitt focused on effectiveness of architectural strategies in terms of energy consumption reduction and energy cost saving, lifecycle analysis, as well as impacts of the 2030 Challenge on architectural design.

Shenshu graduated from Hefei University of Technology with a Bachelor of Architecture and completed his Master’s at Tianjin University, in China. He received his PhD (Dr-Ing) for research in energy-efficient building design from the University of Stuttgart, in Germany.
