Liquan is a Principal and Project Architect at TAES Architects. She is passionate about providing high quality design whether in a masterplan concept for a major development or in the details of a single house. She is an integral part of TAES Architects’ ability to carry a project from the planning stages to completion, Liquan is also highly knowledgeable in construction management. She has an expansive professional background and versatile skill set, as she is able to work on residential, commercial, and industrial building designs.

Liquan began her professional career in China, practicing as well as teaching architectural design at Hefei University of Technology. She then relocated to Germany, completing her Master’s Degree in Architectural and Urban Planning, and worked at Sorg und Frosch Planungs GmbH on healthcare, commercial, and residential projects. Liquan moved to Toronto in 1997 and worked at Zeidler Partnership Architects for 13 years. She was involved in many notable projects including Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, York University’s General Academic and Performing Arts Building, and Trump International Hotel + Tower in Toronto.

Liquan has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture from the Hefei University of Technology, in China, and also holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Stuttgart, in Germany.
