This is the first of two LEED Gold certified buildings on the campus at Lakefield College School in Lakefield, Ontario.  Hadden Hall is a 2,353 square metre student recreation centre that was completed in September 2008.  Included in the new building is the McEwan Gymnasium featuring an impressive vaulted wood ceiling as well as large windows offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

Concerned with sustainable development, the Owner aimed to design a project that would achieve these standards.  A TAES Architect principal managed this LEED design while employed with a different company.  Sustainable achievements include a state-of-the-art geothermal system, the use of low emitting building materials, light pollution reduction and water efficient landscaping.
